FAQ 4 Who selects the trainees? The procedure for matching students with companies depends on the purpose of the practicum. - When the trainees are in the workplace to practise skills already learned in the classroom, they are generally selected by the company. The recruitment process begins with a “practicum offer” that the company sends to the school and that generally indicates the following: - the nature of the work (tasks and responsibilities) - the work environment and the working conditions (team or individual work, work schedule, salary, etc.) - the equipment used, etc. Students study the offer and apply to the company if they are interested. The company studies the applications and calls the applicants that best meet its needs for a selection interview. The school reserves the right to confirm all student placements. - When the trainees are in the workplace to learn part of the program of study, the school generally matches student and company based on student profiles, company profile and the company’s placement capacity. A proposal is sent to the company for confirmation.
