Circus artists (equilibrist, floor acrobat, trapeze artist, juggler, contortionist, fire eater, clown, etc.) prepare circus acts and perform them in front of audiences. They may be required to participate in production activities and other tasks during tours. This is an exciting profession for creative people who have an aptitude for music, theater and dance, yet are disciplined, versatile and rigorous. A career as a circus performer requires excellent physical fitness, flexibility, tolerance for precariousness and teamwork skills.
