Program Objectives

The adventure tourism program aims to teach students to perform roles, functions, tasks and activities associated with the trade or occupation upon entry into the job market.

Total length of training includes general training that is common to all programs for 420 hours, general training for this program for 150 hours as well as complementary general training courses for 90 hours.


Duration of training consists of theory and lab work for courses; personal time that the student invests is excluded.

Adventure Tourism

Outdoor sport and recreational guides plan, coordinate and lead sporting activities in natural environments. In collaboration with travel agencies, tour operators or adventure tourism operators, they organize outings and stays focused on the outdoors, teach sports techniques, ensure safety and see to the well-being of participants. This exciting job suits friendly, open-minded people with a keen interest in nature and outdoor sports. A job as an outdoor sport and recreational guide also requires organizational skills, being alert, courteous and having a good level of spoken English.
