Computerized systems technologists draw electronic schematic diagrams, build, test and repair programmable equipment and automation software (robots, medical monitors, flight simulators, car computers, etc.). They program applications in microcircuits and design projects based on microprocessors. As part of their duties, they may be required to write technical documentation, provide technical support, or supervise the assembly process. It’s a stimulating job in an ever-changing field that requires an analytical and logical personality and an aptitude for math and science.
