Criminology intervention technicians provide daily guidance and support to young and adult offenders or victims of crime (or their families). They admit people to institutions and intervene in crises and situations of authority. They may be called upon to lead reintegration or counselling activities.
Correctional service officers supervise inmates, escort individuals, and perform searches. They may have to develop, implement, and monitor social reintegration programs for delinquent individuals. This stressful but rewarding profession requires being in good physical condition. This job is suited to autonomous people with good observation skills, a capacity to command control, and a sense of duty.
